What is the main cause of premature screen failure?

The most common cause of premature failure is incorrect tensioning. If a screen is not tensioned properly, it will flutter against the camber bars during operation. This causes metal fatigue and rapid mesh breakage. Worn nosing rubber and incorrect clamping plates also contribute heavily to this issue.
How do I choose between woven wire and polyurethane screens?

The choice depends entirely on your specific application. Woven wire screens provide the highest open area for maximum throughput and are ideal for heavy impact. Polyurethane screens are highly resistant to abrasion, offer excellent noise reduction, and are best suited for wet applications or highly abrasive materials where extended wear life is the priority.
What is the difference between blinding and pegging?
Blinding: This occurs when fine, moist, or sticky materials accumulate and coat the screen mesh, completely blocking the apertures and reducing your open area.

Pegging: This happens when irregularly shaped or near-size particles become wedged tightly within the screen holes, physically blocking material from passing through.

Solution: We recommend installing our Eazi Flow Screens (Flex Mats) or adding Beater Bars to the deck to agitate the material and prevent both issues.
When should I replace my nosing rubber or polyurethane capping?

Nosing should be inspected during every maintenance shutdown. You must replace it immediately if it shows any signs of flattening, tearing, or uneven wear. Worn nosing leads to uneven screen tension and allows the screen cloth to rub directly against the steel stringer frame.
Do you supply screens for mobile crushers and screening plants?

Yes. We maintain an extensive mobile screening database that covers virtually all leading mobile screen brands and models. We can manufacture screen cloth to match exact OEM dimensions, ensuring accurate fitment and optimal aperture selection for your specific unit.
